BTI is a dynamic company with world‐renowned expertise in radiation detection, addressing applications in the defence, homeland security, space, industrial, and medical sectors. BTI is seeking an Electronics Engineer/Designer to support a range of research and development activities, including product development and product support.
Candidates must meet the following profile:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Science/Physics from a Canadian university or recognized equivalent, with a strong academic record.
- Minimum 2 years of electronics design experience in an industrial or research setting, including experience in design of complex, multi-layer circuit cards.
- Experience in analog and high-speed electronics is an asset.
- Experience with Altium is an asset.
- Excellent hands-on skills for trouble-shooting at both the circuit card and system level.
- Proficient in the use of common tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
- Able to generate clear and detailed technical documents, including design specifications, test procedures, quality documents, and technical reports/presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Capabilities in data analysis and firmware development are an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with customers and working within a multi-disciplinary team of scientific, engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel.
- Must be creative, self-motivated, organized, deadline-oriented, receptive to constructive feedback, and able to learn quickly on a continuous basis.
- Must be willing and able to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
- Candidate must provide a criminal record check as a condition of employment and must be eligible for a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability level
