Instruments that detect gamma or neutron radiation can be calibrated in BTI’s facilities.  Gamma calibrations are performed using ¹³⁷Cs sources.  Neutron calibrations are performed using ²⁵²Cf sources.

All calibrations and verifications of calibrations are traceable to the SI through the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) or the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
